Warranty

The client is entitled to a true five 5-year material and labor warranty on all floors installed by Cutting Edge Concrete Coatings LLC. This warranty covers excessive delamination, abnormal discoloration, flaking, peeling, and chipping under standard residential use, provided the coating is properly maintained in accordance with the Care Card provided at installation. If the Care Card is lost or misplaced, or not provided for specialty floor systems, clients should contact their Cutting Edge flooring technician for proper maintenance instructions.

The contractor will not be held responsible for damage resulting from neglect, misuse, or acts of weather or environmental factors. This includes, but is not limited to, normal wear of the floor and sheen, excessive wear, lack of maintenance, use of harsh or abrasive chemicals, pressure washing, scrubbing or buffing machines, impact damage, scratches, tire marks, staining, fire, or substrate failure. This warranty becomes effective only upon payment in full to Cutting Edge Concrete Coatings for all outstanding charges relating to this project.

Terms and Conditions

1. Legally Binding Agreement

By signing a contract with Cutting Edge, you are signing a legally binding contract for work to be completed at an agreed-upon price. In the event that you break this contract, all deposits made to the company shall be surrendered as damages. By signing this contract, you expressly acknowledge and consent to the terms, conditions, and obligations stated herein, and you release Cutting Edge from any liabilities arising as a result of, but not limited to, the matters addressed in this agreement. Any alterations or deviations from the above specifications or scope of work involving extra costs will be executed upon written request and will become an extra charge over and above the original estimate.

2. Payments

Payments to Cutting Edge are due as per the contract schedule and are to be paid by check, card, cash or Venmo. If payment is done by card, the client understands there is a card processing fee. All balances are due upon completion of the job unless dis-cussed otherwise. Any variance to this policy must be agreed upon and in writing in our contract. Late charges will be immediately assessed on all balances not paid as a 7% late fee. The customer agrees to pay any collection cost incurred by Cutting Edge related to the collection process of outstanding balances.

3. Requirements after application

When applying your flooring system, cure time is substantially important. We require a minimum of 24 hours before walking on your floor, and 48 hours for any heavy machinery, vehicles, or items. Please be aware that Cutting Edge will not be responsible for any damages incurred if these curing timeframes and requirements are not followed.

4. Release of Liability

Grinders use high speed diamond bits to expose permeable aggregate. Utilizing these rough machines allows for the best application possible; however, operating with these machines can also cause damages. It is the homeowner's responsibility to ensure that their property has been maintained in accordance with its manufacturer's recommendation. Prior to coating installation, we use a high quality, mechanical bonding mender to patch and repair any spalling, pitting, or cracking. Although concrete defects will be property repaired, and while unlikely, it is always possible that natural settlement will cause the concrete defects to continue to shift, crack, and return after installation. Cutting Edge is also not responsible for improper leveled slabs, faulty aggregate material, change in moisture, minimal dust exposer or residue due to dustless grinding, or any other issue related to concrete installation or natural settlement and movement. The client assumes all of these risks and takes responsibility for any damage that occurs due to the above explanations.

5. Inspection

Prior to completion of the Project, Client shall have the right to inspect the Project, and may request alterations as the Client deems reasonably necessary. Any requested alterations are subject to Cutting Edge approval and price adjustment for the Project. The Project shall be deemed accepted by Client upon signature of Client acknowledging completion or within 7 days from the last date Cutting Edge performs services for the Project, whichever is earlier.

6. Marketing

The client grants the contractor and any persons authorized permission to film or photograph the building and works without any restraint. And to allow its use for any promotional purposes without any recall weather legal or monetary.
